Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Essential Design (Boston, MA).
Entrevista
I went through 4 rounds of interviews with the company. The first being with the head recruiter from the parent company PA Consulting, which was uneventful and unnecessary. The 2nd being with the lead engineer and director of engineering, which went very well. The 3rd being with the entire functional engineering team (approx. 8 people), and it also went well. The 4th and final interview was on-site. Prior to the interview they requested I complete a couple of tasks to present. One being to create a slide deck, walking through the design process followed to solve a challenging technical problem. The second task being to create a CAD model of a common product (included complex surface modeling), while considering manufacturability. All in all, this work took over 20 hours of my time. The interview seemed to go really well, and got positive feedback. The recruiter I was working with was very sure I would receive an offer. Never heard back.....months have now passed and I have still not heard a peep. Even after sending a thank you note a few days after the interview took place. The recruiter even said this was extremely "unprofessional" and "flat out ridiculous.".
I first had a 45 minute phone interview with the director of mechanical engineering, then a site visit where we reviewed my portfolio for 2 hours. Both partners and 4 engineers were in the room for the review. They allowed me to ask some questions about the company at the end.

They asked me to rationalize some design concepts and tooling options for a theoretical part I was making.

Entrevista
There was a phone screen and then a call with a hiring manager and then an in person interview with three members of the team. They were very friendly and warm and conversational. Most questions revolved around current experience. Was first given a tour of the office and then each person described their role at the company. It was highly informative and they mostly ask questions to learn about how you would fit within the company.
