Entrevista
I found this job posting on Craigslist and applied there. I was contacted very quickly by someone who was not HR (closer to management), with whom I had a quick "personality/experience" phone chat. I was then passed over to someone in recruiting who handled everything from that point forward. I had a 1:1 with an engineer on the team that was hiring. This was face to face and seemed to be more focused on team fit. It was technical only in that we talked about what technologies I had used. No algorithms or code. (I happened to be in the area, so a face to face was convenient)
The next interview was with an engineer and invovled some data type/algorithm questions, and very specific questions about .NET (which is what I know, not what they use). I bombed this one.
My working experience was very different from the technologies that they used, yet I was given a fair chance and was not asked questions that I could not have answered (eg. about Java API, Linux, etc).
Although I did not end up with an offer, the interview process was very clean and professional. People were quick to respond and the interviewers were all very nice and respectful and asked relevant questions. It definitely reflects well on the company and I would not hesitate to apply for other openings.
