After several rounds of interviews, I progressed to the final round. The other candidate was successful, and I was not chosen. However, despite spending hours on various tasks, interviews and communications, no feedback was given beyond a casual, five word sentence sent via the recruiter. I had two interviews with the senior editor and direct email correspondence, but received nothing. Completely unprofessional behavior on behalf of the senior editor and the company itself. Even 10 minutes with feedback would have been very useful to my career at the time.

Pretty basic - one interview with head of dept who seemed desperate to get someone in quickly. Didn't really get a full sense of the job description which changed from when I applied to when I had the interview
