Entrevista
Phone screen was standard. Then I was sent a 20 minute demo and an NDA to sign. I was told the demo would part of the next round and to make sure I viewed it. Then I had a 45 minute call.
The person who interviewed me was nice to start with, but seemed to not like any answer other than what he personally would have given. He wanted to poke holes in every answer and seemed to not really be listening but more looking for a way to be rude. He rolled his eyes at me several times during the zoom call, which I found disrespectful. I also casually mentioned that long term a company I had worked for was going to partner with a market leader on a particular tech solution (this is a well known company with a cutting edge IT department) and even though it was not something I worked on or made any decisions around decided to probe me in depth about it and then was clearly unsatisfied with my answer (which of course I wasn't involved with it so I couldn't give any good answer on it). He also seemed to really struggle to understand the scope of the products I currently work on, which are significantly larger than Evisort - their product is about 1/100 the size of just one of my products. He questioned our company's go to market strategy, which I backed up with end user data, and before I could even get into detail about the launch process called it "silly." He also made a lot of again very disrespectful judgments about my past career experiences at well known companies and said I wouldn't be able to work without heavy processes in place, to which I responded that was why I was looking for a smaller leaner company to work for. Overall this was one of the worst experiences I have had with an interviewer.
Also be aware they are looking for Product Owners, not Product Managers. I do a true Senior Product Manager role in my current job at a much larger scale than their role requires. To be honest I feel like I am much further advanced in my skill set as a Product Manager than this company and it was obvious they do not follow any best practices.
This company needs to provide some bias and HR training around interviewing to those they decide should interview candidates. I interview applicants in my current role as a hiring manager and I would certainly never treat anyone the way this person treated me during the call.
Truly this is a disappointment because I really loved the product and think it has great potential.

He asked me "What do you want to avoid in your next job" which is a strange question to ask and it was also asked with a very weird tone of voice. Almost like he was probing for an answer he wanted and then when I said I was open to being collaborative and a team player, that challenge was something I look forward to, he rolled his eyes at me. He also asked a lot of questions about roadmapping - again probing for specific answers.

Entrevista
It was a quick process from submitting my initial application to getting invited for an interview. I had an initial interview and never heard back. I was told to expect an update the following week but this never happened.
