Slow, overly complicated and unprofessional. The interviewer herself was a EA who had recently been promoted to her first senior level role, she bragged about how she was able to pull rank over the other PA's. She gave an example of how she had 4/5 other PA's moved to be seated next to her, away from their own teams because it was convenient for her (she didn't have to wait for responses to her emails!). The fact that this separated them from their teams was irrelevant as she was now a senior guy. She told me she could not continue with the selection process for this role as she was travelling back to Seattle and apparently she could not do two things at the same time. Technology must be poor at Expedia. Terrible reflection on the company, it's sad to see companies give someone who's clearly untrained in managing staff and interviewing free rain over other people. I took an offer from another company which turned out to be a great offer.

Entrevista
Got contacted by the company. Very positive experience with the HR recruiter, then had another call scheduled with the person who was previously in this role (and moved to another position).
Got a negative reply back the day after, based on a 15 minute informal chat with a non-HR specialist, nor the hiring manager. Not sure how this practice is in line with corporate conducts of a company of such magnitude.

Really disappointing for such a highly regarded company which apparently treats staff very well. It’s a shame they don’t afford the same treatment to candidates. Got to final interview stage, then was asked to come back for an additional final interview without specific information as to why, but was told they needed me back ASAP in order to make a decision that week. It turned out the reason they needed me back was because the people the role was supporting had changed, which I only discovered when I went back in for the third time. Then, I was not provided with a decision that week as promised, but a whole three weeks later. I didn’t get selected for the role and was given an incredibly poor reason as to why, that could have been given three weeks earlier if the reason given was genuine. Wouldn’t wish this process on anyone and wouldn’t want to work somewhere that treats candidates in this way.

Entrevista
First a brief phone call with HR to know you better (availability, professional experience, expectations).
A couple of days later I had a face-to-face interview with several employees working at the company.
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The face-to-face interview happened during the same day so be prepared for a couple of hours of questioning.
I did not pursue the process for personal reasons but the job description was very well described and interesting. Moreover the expectation were clear.
