Entrevista
I applied for this position on January 31st, and received no response. I get a call on March 7th from the Director of HR saying they had a change in the hiring process (they were down to two people and things happened).
I was fine with it as this company was one of my dream companies to work for. I previously applied for the Communications Specialist and Communications Representative positions by sending them an email as requested on their Careers page. I didn't receive a response from either applications.
I had an initial phone interview with the Director of HR first the same day, and she passes along my information to the hiring manager. She says I will have either an in-person or phone interview next. I even sent a portfolio to stand out from other candidates stating it included work-related examples, and the hiring manager wondered if my work was created for personal or professional reasons. (Please read the email next time. It answered the question). A phone interview was scheduled three business days later, and I thought it went really well.
However, I don't hear back for three weeks until I got declined. It's unfortunate that they were not proactive during that period to let me know how the process is going. That is always one of my biggest pet peeves about job searching. I get they were trying to find the right candidate, but it's never okay to leave a candidate waiting, especially when I already went through the time frame of January 31st through March 7th not hearing from them.
Update: April 25th, 2019 - The position is still posted on their Careers section of their website.
