This was honestly the most disorganized interview process I have ever been a part of.
I applied, the corporate office contacted me and set up a local interview and a video-conference interview from the local branch. When I arrived for the interview, I found that no one had told the branch manager about the interview.
He did his best without being prepared, and set me up with the video conference portion of the interview. An administrative assistant said that the manager that I was supposed to interview with was not available because he was at.... lunch.
She said "I'll find someone for you to talk to about the position, though.. wait here."
She returned (almost an hour later later) with a gentleman who who proceeded to slouch down into a chair, asked irrelevant questions and made it well known that he had no interest in speaking with me. He went on to clarify that he is just an employee who does a similar job, not a manager or director. He said he was just trying to help them out by speaking with me, but pointed out that I was probably not qualified for the position anyway.
If that's the way things work within this company, I suppose maybe I'm lucky that I don't work for them.
