Lengthy Process, Lack of Transparency, and Unannounced Internal Priority
I went through four interviews at FCM Meetings & Events.
At no point did HR mention that an internal candidate was already being considered, and in the end neither external candidate was selected. Choosing an internal profile without informing external applicants felt neither clear nor fair.
What Went Well:

Transparency: Inform external candidates if there’s an internal contender
Clarity: Share final selection criteria openly
Feedback: Provide constructive insights to help candidates progress
