I applied for an extern position during my law school 2L year. The hiring personnel reaches out to you if you get selected. I had a virtual interview because it was during Covid.

Took awhile to be called for an interview after applying. But then was brought in quickly and met with 1 interviewer. I heard back within a month and then was given under a week to accept/deny.
