Applied online and heard back about a week later. 1st round included 3 tests (excel, financial markets and numerical) and an interview. the tests were really straightforward - make sure you understand how to use VLOOKUP, make pivot tables and use basic functions (like SUM, AVG etc). the numerical was particularly easy and the financial markets one was multiple choice. interview was relaxed - questions about my degree choice, why factset, why finance, why consulting, describe a day in the life of a consultant, what differentiates factset, run through your last 3 work experiences etc.
Heard back that evening that i was invited to the assessment centre next week. this included a group exercise (prioritising assignments), a talk and short exercise about how the factset platform works, lunch with two consultants, and finally a preprepared 10 minute teach exercise each applicant had to present about a subject of their choice.

Straightforward. You begin with a telephone interview, followed by a group interview with you work on a group project and share a talent/skill you possess. If successful, you will then go through several rounds of interview with hiring manager and other senior stakeholders.

There was an initial virtual interview with HR and then an interview the the manager from the US. HR lady was friendly and was fast to respond to emails. The manager didn’t seem experienced in interviewing, he said so himself and went for someone that didn’t require onboarding training. He said he doesn’t expect knowledge on equity when being quizzed on it but yet the reason for not getting the role was lack of knowledge on it. Was not pleased with this misleading behaviour. The decision felt rushed as they only gave a reply once I emailed so felt like they already had the candidate chosen.
