I had the option of interviewing for two positions--one was a general education IA and the other was a SPED IA, I interviewed for both. I interviewed with the AP and a 4th grade teacher. It was relatively relaxed and very welcoming. The interview lasted for only 15 minutes. The entire process of hiring took 2 weeks.

What would you do if a parent came to you asking about another student and their behavior?

I was asked a couple of scenario questions as well.
I first spoke with someone in the front office. I then had a call with the Principal where we talked about the role and how my skills matched up. The process was very straightforward and they communicated well with me.

Covid period. Virtual with admin team and special ed teacher. Mostly how can we trust you around our kids. How can you help us and are you dependable. Interviewers are kind and give you the opportunity to put yourself in the best position.

Got an email and scheduled a video interview. They were so nice and easy going. Helped me through the process. Asked typical questions like my experience and how I work with kids.
