The interview was quite sterile. I'm used to interviews starting at least with an icebreaker of sorts; a brief introduction where each person on the call can be reassured you're speaking to fellow humans, but this interview seems to be designed to put the interviewee on their heels from the start. I was already very nervous about this interview becuase it was for my dream job, and the lack of an opportunity to connect to my interviewers did not ease my nerves. They asked several "tell me a bout a time..." questions and a few other relevant questions.

The application process was very structured process but the entire process took several months. I did not proceed with the polygraph because I no longer wanted to proceed with the enterview process due to the government shutdown and uncertainty. I wish the circumstances were different because the job sounded very interesting.
