Entrevista
I'm not sure if it is policy for the company's Human Resources Manager to be a robot, but both on the phone during initial contact and then in person, she was as wooden as a board, with an almost disdainful air. Interviews are stressful for everyone but often you are put at ease to some extent, as the meeting with HR reminds you that you are of enough interest to have been called in. Not in this case.
I also met with the executive that I'd be reporting to. He was exponentially more welcoming than HR. Overall, the company culture seemed rather stiff and stuffy - the cubicles were bland and no one was seemingly allowed to personalize them, very quiet and more formal than I'd expected.
While the interview with the executive seemed to have gone well, I received no response to my immediate post-interview thank you email to each party. There have been no requests yet for a 2nd interview but a follow-up email regarding the position's status was answered by the executive himself, saying that they were going to come to a decision soon.
