Made contact with DM at local branch and they suggested I apply online. Had a brief phone interview with DM next day, and they wanted to set up 2nd interview with panel. Next week had interview with DM and 2 superiors. Went well, basic behavior and experience questions. Was told would be contacted the following week. After 4 weeks of playing phone tag with DM, was told by another branch employee that position had been filled internally over 2 weeks prior. Could have been handled better.

Quick phone interview followed by a three person interview (in-person). The district managers were more focused on why I was considering moving from my current employer than they were with my 16 years of experience. I focused on the coaching and sales aspect of my experience and they weren’t really concerned with quality coaching interactions. This tells me they aren’t hiring a manager, they are hiring a very experienced sales person. If your passion is coaching and developing, avoid at all costs.
