there was an interesting db normalization problem. study up on that. coding was quite minimal. overall, folks did try to ask a lot on my experience but the technical screens were not very strong.

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 meses. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa First Resonance (El Segundo, CA).
Entrevista
Almost 3 months to contact me after my application was submitted, then they are quick and responsive. Phone screen went fine. They asked about past experiences in relation to their work needs. Interviewer kept professional throughout the call, but his tone sounded highly annoyed. I was spot on with answering their questions. Due to the interviewer being sarcastic, I had to explain what paid parental leave was to him. Interviewer said they’ll give a take home test that’ll take only a few hours, followed by an onsite presentation. Interviewer lied about how long it’ll take to complete, in an extensive 5 part project that had important missing information purposefully withheld from the candidate. This is a classic set you up to fail scenario with a large multifaceted project – don’t fall for it. Do not waste your time with their take home assignment – they will steal your ideas and code for internal consumption and self promotions (for more money) on your time, and will ghost you once you submit it (been there before, not anymore). They want to see how naive you are with their take home test. I declined the position due to their take home test and purposefully withheld information. Overall, I was more comfortable than the interviewer was over the phone – that shows a lot. They think they are SpaceX and aim for hiring younger people, but they are not even close. The negative reviews speaks volumes for such a small company.

What is paid parental leave? - interviewer being sarcastic and toying with me
This company from reviews is not good. Seem to be good once I arrived to the onsite interview. However, my guess is the recruiter they have is horrible and doesnt follow a professional setting. As with the previous post, I never got a rejection it has been 2 months + after being told I was getting a follow-up email etc. within a week of interviewing; If you want to waste your time on 1 inteview with HR (which is useless) re-stating your resume, a 4+ hour take home , an onsite 2 hours (1 hour lunch + 1 hour interview ) , then apply to these roles . You would think that after they had invested time they have the curtesy to give an update.
