Started with an online application via a recruitment agency on LinkedIn. The hiring manager spoke to me chatted with me on the phone before meeting me for coffee on a separate day. They proceeded me onto the next round which is a fund presentation task and a prospecting task. Lots of tough questions asked during that. They ghosted on me for more than 2 weeks before asking me to interview with the Head of Sales and the CEO. The Head of Sales asked me to do a cold calling test following the interview with him. After this the hiring manager asked me to meet their senior portfolio manager for coffee interview. I did the cold calling test and subsequently they asked me to do a final interview in mandarin and a translation task. They told me after that they will get back to me in 2 weeks but I have not heard back from them since. Sent a follow up email but still did not receive any reply.

Sent in CV and got a call back within a week. Interview was arranged for the following week. Had to prepare a presentation on a product of the firm. Interview went well until I got some red flags from the hiring manager after I asked about something in the job description and he went in to say how junior staff could be ‘blamed’ if they don’t contribute enough calls/cold emails. Anyway the point isn’t what the conversation was about but he used the term ‘blame’ about 6-8 times in his answer and I think that says a lot about the culture. Also they have NO flexible working policy ! I just got a really odd impression and glad I didn’t get a call back.
