      Entrevista

After submitting an online application, I was contacted in a week or two via email with an invitation to attend a job fair. The job fair was very crowded, the area I live in has been devastated by the state of the economy. After a long wait, I was given a credit check, then was administered 3 computer tests: simulated customer calls to check observational skills, situational, and computer knowledge. I was immediately chosen for a face-to-face interview the following day. After showing up at the company's premises, I was wowed by the aesthetics of the place. Everyone was quite professional and very friendly. After a brief wait in the lobby, I was asked to accompany a hiring manager to a private interviewing office. Once again, the gentleman interviewing me was very friendly and very professional. The interview went quite well, and although there were numerous run of the mill situational questions, I was pleased at the tone the interviewer used to institute a relaxing and enjoyable process. After a very rewarding dialogue, the interviewer answered some questions I had and asked me if I would like a tour of the facility. I promptly accepted, and once again I was WOWed, to say the least. The work area was clean, yet seemed about what one would expect. It was everything else which was WOW. Traveling from different parts of the building, there was numerous amenities that I was shocked to see. They had a break room with several activities including: pool table, ping pong, shuffleboard, a video game, and a pinball machine. If that were not enough, we walked by a couple of stations throughout the facility which were dedicated drink stations. Even better, I was taken into a cafeteria which had highly visible televisions, and was told about the cafeteria plan. The hiring rep explained that for $15 per week, one could be provided breakfast and lunch each work day. After all this, I was completely flabergasted to find out there was a "relaxation room". The rep explained that this could be used for anyone, but was primarily for women who breastfeed. He went on to say that there was a massage chair, but we did not go into the room. After the tour, the hiring manager walked me back out to the lobby and asked me once again if I had any questions. After a few minutes of q and a I drove away very pleased. Six days after the job fair, I was given a job offer over the phone and I accepted. I was given an email to set up application verification, background check, and drug test through a third-party. My orientation is set for January, 3.
