I initially interviewed with the internal recruiter on the phone, then came in for an onsite interview. I interviewed with 2 software engineers and the hiring manager. One engineer was really nice and personable. The other one was really arrogant and obnoxious. The hiring manager was inquisitive yet prodding in an uncomfortable kind of way. This left me with a sense that the company is not a good fit for me. I do not feel the culture of the potential employer is fun and innovative at all, leaving a sense that I will not enjoy working for the company. I also see a lot of H1B and foreign software engineers working for the company.
The environment consists of open desk areas where advisers chatted with clients via headsets. Same goes for developer work areas. The company is located in nice big buildings near the BridgePoint Shopping Center and adopts open work areas rather than big cubicles.
I have worked for a few financial companies in the past, but this environment seems stressful and stifling, while not being a fun and innovative environment.
