Family (nepotism) company. Initial interview with HR took about 15-20 min to provide a brief background. Could not ask any appropriate interview questions. So much unnecessary info about how many years people have worked there and that older gen might want to retire after their company has been purchased by a larger well known company. Talked about how the company who has purchased them were not buying competition.
It took 5 min to reject me as a candidate saying I did not have enough experience then recommended field technician roles which only needed HS diplomas she says (I have BSME), but this is what many people have done in our company to train and familiarize you w/ our products.

- Zero technical questions and said they needed someone who can really go in depth with their products. But could not go in depth with what they needed specifically about "new tech" to improve hygrometers and pressure meters?
- The new company that purchased us wants the most efficient ways to do things. Can you tell me about how your experience relate to this job?
- Can you produce a model and transfer it from program to program? (Not so sure either)

Standard interview questions and process. 3 rounds of interviews: Director HR, Director of Sales with 2 peers, and President of Company. No questions out of the ordinary. This was over 7 years ago, so the specifics are foggy. Nothing else to add.
