      Entrevista

      I went for a first-round interview with the CEO. The interview lasted for almost an hour. There were a few unusual curveball questions that showed the interviewer was not prepared at all: Show me a UX flow that you think is the most crucial for a particular business in any app that you like, and explain why. Other than that, the questions were ordinary and served as a way to gauge my understanding of the company and the position I was applying for. I was given a take-home assessment that I thought was uncalled for and too much. The given timeframe was six working days. Find one UX issue in the current Flux web app, point it out, and write a comprehensive solution for it (including wireframes and UX studies). Design from scratch a CRM/OMS for a digital company that serves as a tool for product managers to work efficiently (including wireframes, UX studies, stakeholder analysis, user journey, and high-fidelity mockups). There are reasons why designers prepare previous work case studies in their portfolios. Duh. Nevertheless, I prepared and sent the assignment as agreed. I was then ghosted and received no review or feedback whatsoever. Such a rude and inconsiderate company."

      Identify ONE UX issue in our Checkout Flow (Browse Cars Page to Review & Reserve Page). Analyse and create a business case for why this is an issue. Create a High Fidelity mockup of a design solution that fixes this issue. Design for both desktop and mobile devices, considering various screen sizes and resolutions.

      Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our interview process. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely apologise for the lack of communication regarding our decision. At the time, we were working with a recruiter who was responsible for candidate updates. Unfortunately, they did not provide the necessary follow-up, which is why we have since stopped working with them. We take accountability for this and apologise for any frustration this may have caused. Regarding our case study, we use this as a crucial step in our hiring process to ensure that candidates can demonstrate their skills in a real-world context. Many applicants take credit for work done in a team setting, and the case study helps us assess individual problem-solving abilities, creativity, and UX thinking. In your specific case, while we appreciate the effort you put into the assignment, the focus of the task was to identify a new feature that could improve our conversion rate and user experience. Your response, however, primarily highlighted a bug in the application. While identifying bugs is important, we were seeking a candidate who could introduce innovative UX ideas to enhance the user journey—rather than a quality assurance approach. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we refine our hiring process.
