Great easy interview process. One virtual interview with area manager and HR. Lasted about 30 minutes - average store manager interview questions such as experience, how you motivate and communicate a team, stock and merchandising experience.

Was soll so ein Verhalten ? Wir sollen immer flexibel und ehrlich sein und Ihr haltet es nicht mal für Nötig auf eine Bewerbung zu Antworten ? Frechheit echt......

This was one of the worst interview processes of my life which is why I've decided to write about it. I interviewed for a management position and despite being highly qualified with years of experience, during the interview I felt extremely patronised and almost as if the interviewers were laughing at me. I was asked some questions that were completely irrelevant to my work history and experience, for example I was asked if the manager preceding me in my current role had been transferred or fired or left the job??????? whatever the answer it would have absolutely no reflection on me and my performance. Also when discussing an employee of mine who had typed an incorrect amount in a PDQ machine, this was questioned as "how can this be - isn't the machine connected to the till?" like these people had never seen an employee in a store or restaurant have to type in an amount into a standalone PDQ machine - which I would say is a daily occurrence!
They asked if I had ever been in one of their stores - ridiculous question considering I am applying to be a manager, of course I will have researched the company and visited stores to prepare, but also the interview room was accessed THROUGH THE STORE! So even if I hadn't set foot in a store ever, they knew that I had to that day!
Even when receiving feedback I was told that my interview answers were simultaneously "too detailed" but that they "would have liked more specifics". It's frustrating because the employee satisfaction doesn't seem too bad from other Glassdoor reviews, but the people they have choosing those employees are absolutely incompetent and really need some basic training in how to not come across completely hostile. Normally at interviews people hope that the interviewee will be good and will bring some external talent into the company, but this time it really felt like they were trying to catch me out. Eventually I was offered a role below my capabilities (but with a salary that I would say was medium/high for that position), and decided to decline in favour of a company which appreciated my experience and seemed genuinely excited to have me on board.
