The group interview and presentation process felt unnecessary, particularly the emphasis on selling hypothetical products and toys. It seemed disconnected from the skills and experience, and the approach felt more performative rather than an effective evaluation method.

The store hadn't opened yet so twenty of us met in a neaby hotel where we were shown a presentation about the company. The main guy said the customers come first but we're all second which struck me a bit funny, As other jobs at least say that we're just as important if not more. They made us write about ourselves and hobbies on a piece of paper and stand up to present to everybody else in the room. Then we had to pick up an item from a table and think about how to sell it for five minutes before presenting that to everybody as well. Afterwards they moved us into another room and I was made to wait for over an hour as they went through 1-1 interviews with everybody. Eventually I had mine with a friendly, but miserable manager who made the job sound grueling and soul sucking instead of selling it to me, and asked pointless questions I hadn't heard on any of the sites I prepared on. Then when I'd finished answering she'd just stare at me anticipating more which felt intimidating.

Very straight forward, send in CV online and ask you in for an interview a few days later. The interview was easy and they only ask you a few questions about your experience, what you know about the company and also your availability
