My worst interviewing experience.
The process started with quick hr call followed by hacker rank test. The test was poorly compiled, started with a sql question that didn’t have table name and therefore couldn’t run against the engine. Other questions were poorly warded and some asked to correct given code by copying it from one text area to another while the copy paste disabled. Imagine coping text row by row scrolling up and down each time.
Anyways, I passed the test and was scheduled for a video interview with 3 managers. All of them were late for the session by 10 minutes and none apologized.
They started the questioning right away without introducing themselves or the company. The question were poorly formulated and interviewers were not collaborative - asking question or trying to narrow down the scope didn’t help, they simply waited for a very specific answers they had in mind. Answering a question always followed by quick ‘ok’-no feedback whatsoever.
They mixd and mixed-up the the terminology making it even harder to understand whet they are looking for.
The most senior manager couldn’t put two words together in English - just gives you an idea what kind of an environment you are about to work.
Through out the interview I had a feeling that I’m dealing with not overly intelligent people who try to fail you just to feel better about themselves.
They are full of themselves from no particular reason and think they doing you a favour for even considering you for the job.
This company has a very bad reputation in Vancouver area for their toxic work environment, outdated technology (developers work on old desktops and don’t get laptops to take home) and low quality of products. Now I understand why - no way a self respecting engineer would come to work here.
There is also something fishy about their rating on glassdoor (notice the the 5 star reviews coming on same day for particular areas).
I’m not even waiting for hr to reply, this is definitely not a place I want to work at.

Horrible experience, especially with recruiting but also the attitude of the hiring team. Recruiters love to cold call with no heads up (only out of hundreds of companies who use standard emails) and are very disorganized, forgetting details about me and saying nothing about the team or company.
Process:
- 2.5 hour OA with complete silence for 1.5 months after
- 2 hour in person onsite interview. The interviewers had a cold attitude and look throughout. Didn't bother to introduce themselves or the team. Didn't even say goodbye or thank me for my time after the interview despite me taking PTO.
- 3 weeks later, recruiter called to setup a call with another manager. This manager asked random questions and didn't explain his role or give me any time to ask questions. Overall easy conversation.
Complete ghosting from the company after the final call despite me following up twice. I only found out through internal sources that the position was filled.
Be aware of this company. Heavily favour onsite work and a certain demographic. Be prepared to job hop after a year even if you get a offer.

Technical trivia + leetcode. They learned a lot about me but I barely knew what they did.
