I applied for Sr. software engineer (Python fullstack) position for FortiSOAR product.
5 Round of interview-
Round 1: Hackerrank Test: This had two codding problem questions and 15 MCQ related to web technologies.
This was good, I cleared the test then I got call from HR for second round.
Round 2: Technical Round, Asked me about my projects and then problem solving question started. After 2-3 codding problems (medium), asked about microservices, auth, session, cookies etc.
I cleared this round then got call for next interview
Round 3: Technical 2- Started with oops and some desgin pattern, then multitasking/ async programming and few frontend technologies.
I cleared 3rd round as well, then got call from HR, she said they will share some problem statement with me, and mentioned to complete within 4 day. I have to design end-to-end application, from HLD to running application, I completed and shared in 4 day.
Then HR informed they wil schedule for project discussion.
Round 4: Project Demo, I gave demo and explained my approach. They asked my why I choose that technology, some design questions, db schema related questions.
After that HR informed that I have cleared interview and final round will be with hiring manager.
Round 5: Manager round, Asked about my last project, gave some problem statement and few behavioral questions.
Then I got call from HR that got positive response from manager and they will update me further.
After 1 week, also they didnt update, then after multiple followup email HR told that they put requirement On-Hold and let me know when it is opened.
After 1 month, I saw again HR's linkedin post, about same position, that position was re-opened.
Then I asked about my application if we can proceed, HR told that after checking with manager I'll be informed, and then surprise - No reply.
Not sure why they play this kind of game after clearing all round and spending too much time on building project and on interview, this kind of response is disappointed.
