Very informal as was already employed by the company. This was a precursor to a promotion. However - when they are recruiting externally they have no set recruitment procedure. There's guidelines and a hiring policy but it's up to the department/hiring manager as to whether they want HR involved and to what level, how many stages there are to the interview and what questions are asked.
