It was a full day of interviews: including the newly appointed CEO, the owners, and a peer group of VPs. It would be fair to say that, compared to other interviews I’ve done in my career, this was somewhat unconventional and unprofessional. They seem to place a high value on “likeability/fit” over abilities. I was dropped because I didn’t come across as “scrappy” (code for being too old?).
