The first screening round was great. The talent sourcer was respectful and informative. They even organised a prep call to go through expectations for the next round. The next round was a traits interview to test your ability to answer your STAR questions and your motivations for the role. I would've expected a Hiring Manager or someone from the immediate team you work with to go through this stage but in reality you just get yet another recruiter for this round. This recruiter was uninterested, rude, yawning, on mute whilst speaking and just evidently not engaged in the conversation. He repeatedly asked me the same questions formatted in a different way even though I had already answered the questions. There were a lot of follow up questions for no reason that does not really highlight a candidates skillset. They are very strict that you adhere to the STAR methodology, so I guess if you want to be assessed on how robotic you can sound, feel free to do so! It is incredibly hypocritical for them to tell me that my answers came straight from a textbook given the fact that they want you to be structured and perfect. It has been weeks, almost coming up to a month now since the interview and they have not reached out to let me know whether I am to proceed forward or I am rejected. I would've appreciated any form of communication.
