I had four rounds of interviews including two on-site in the Beijing office. In total six in-person or phone conversations, three of them with deputy directors. Every time I was told I have successfully progressed to the next round and I was the only one who made it to the final round. However, it appears no serious decision was made throughout the process and I was simply asked to talk to more people to kick the can down the road. All conversations were conducted in a very friendly and professional way but in the end, no offer was given to anyone and the post was left open over six months after it was posted with no immediate need to actually fill it. As a big fan of the Foundation, I was left with more admiration for its cause but serious doubt over its focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
