Entrevista
I was interviewed by a panel of people including 2 engineering supervisors, a technical leader and the manager of the department. They interviewed me in a round robin style question and answer. At the end I was graded by each and the results were summed together for my overall score.

I have had 2 Engineering Supervisor interviews with the same person. Simple interview lasting 30 mins. I had a copy of many of the questions so I was able to work on them prior to the interview. I also had copies of the interviewers.

Entrevista
The promotion to supervisor is internal. The process begins with an application through the job posting website. The application consists of filling out fields, attaching a resume, and writing an explanation of why you are the best person for the job. The explanation should tie your experience and skills to those requested in the job posting.
Qualified applicants are then selected for a panel interview. The panel consists of the hiring manager, an HR rep, and others with whom you may interact - whether managers from other departments, program office, or supervisors who would be your colleagues. You may get asked anywhere form ten to fifteen questions and are usually given a time limit... keep track of your own time.

In one of my supervisor interviews, I was thrown off by a questions regarding a time when I had to choose between following a procedure as written or taking a different approach to resolve a problem. I had to explain why I made the choice I did and how it turned out.
