I have applied online and was contacted by a talent acquisition person 2 weeks later, and arranged interview with a hiring person for the next day. Within day or two I have received a verbal offer, and as I have had already job accepted with another company I have requested a day or two to think about. As agreed 2 days later I have received a call from the talent acquisition person and I have told him that I'm happy with their offer. I had a small request for him to check if possible job title to be amended from Financial Accountant to Accounting Manager, as I felt this was more appropriate title for the role. My request to check if the job title can be change was not a condition for the acceptance of their job offer. In any case since my acceptance of the job offer I was completely ghosted and never ever heated from them. I have send a couple of email to chase and even to explain once again that job title is not condition for the acceptance of the job offer. To make matter worse the job is still advertising (one month after I have accepted the role) and this time the job title is UK&I Accounting Manager. It seems that I was right to request job title to be changed, as they have changed the job title within a week, but never contacted me. I can understand if General Mills have changed their mind and wants to look for another candidate, but it is completely unprofessional from their side not to informe me of this.

My interview at General Mills for the Accountant role was impressive. Thoughtful questions covered technical skills and problem-solving. Friendly atmosphere and a case study discussion showcased real-world relevance. Transparent company values got me excited about joining the team.
