A two part process consisting of an initial telephone interview with a mid-level manager. This phone interview was conversational, and purposed to validate the candidate's willingness to work in an offshore environment and for extended periods away from home, and their interest in developing a career in the oil and gas industry. The second part of the interview process was group based, and face to face, with more senior managers. The group interview day consisted of 10-minute individual presentations by each candidate to introduce themselves, and an hour long test assessing candidates on their geological, mechanical and mathematical aptitude with a series of exam style questions. A final face-to-face interview with a hiring manager was conducted - this typically lasting for 30 minutes.
