The screening form had an open-ended essay format, and took me a couple of days to write (I rated the interview process as “difficult”, partly because of this). The interview itself was a remote group interview on MS Teams, and lasted just under an hour. They asked me about myself, my goals, as well as behavioral-style interview questions, such as how I go about data analysis. During the interview, I could tell that some of them were not really paying attention to what I was saying, and weren't taking me seriously. They didn't even follow up with me after the interview. I only learned about the rejection weeks later, after I emailed them, and asked them about the status of my application, because they didn't bother to update it on their website. I'm not even sure if they were serious about hiring, because I just checked the department website, and I don't see any new staff members.
