Two interviews one with recruiter and one with the team lead and that was the process. Each interview was a hour long zoom call. Afterwards the recruiter checked back in with me and called about a few days later.

This is one of the strangest interview experiences I have ever had. I was asked to do a project, which is a good idea in theory. But it took a lot of time and there was relatively little communication about what was needed, the next steps or where I ranked compared to other applicants. After that (and some filtering on their part I suspect) I was asked to a phone interview at a given time, with still relatively little information. They were supposed to call me, but at the last minute I was sent a call in number to my personal e-mail. I wish they would have thought of this the night before because I was at work most of the day and was not looking at my personal e-mail. When I finally figured out what was going on and was finally able to call into the conference call - they were interviewing someone else for the same position on that call ! It was a mess up on their part. They had double booked the interview conference call and it was awkward for everyone. When I was FINALLY able to have a phone interview with the hiring manager, it was relatively good experience - she asked relevant questions, I liked her and it sounded like a good group. But, toward the end of the interview, I found out that the conditions of the job were different than what was in the job description when I applied. Apparently, a ‘draft’ of the job had somehow slipped out of the company. They did not know how that was possible, but did say that the job description that I remembered as like one of the drafts that had since been changed. So, I ended up withdrawing my application after all that effort. It seems like a good company and I love the product, but the whole disorganized process cost me way too much time for a job that did not exist.

Typical technical questions. They are interested in your experience and knowledge of GitHub. From the analysis they had me do, they wanted to know what I learned about GitHub, if I had any suggestions or insights.
