Entrevista
Leaving a review because I had an overall strange experience with what I assume was either recruiting or HR.
When applying to this role I had to give a salary expectation on the online application. Everyone knows you never give a number here, so I put 0's before submitting my application and intended to explain, if asked, that I was negotiable & looking for the best overall package. Any normal person does not apply to a job just for the salary. There are a lot of components that go into finding/accepting a job.
Someone from the company did email me and asked me only for my salary requirement so they could determine next steps. I didn't want to give a number as it truly was not a large factor for me; this would be a job change for me so I gave an average VA Beach salary for this type of role & mentioned I had researched it, and does that look similar to what GTS would offer?
I received this verbatim email response w/ apparent typo: "Infuriately this is an entry level position and the pay you are requesting is not within our budget. "
I said ok, this would be a job change so I understand I'd be starting over at entry level, & I'm still interested in learning more about the role regardless of salary offered. To keep the conversation going to see if we could even get to the "next steps" I asked if they could provide their own range & received the response that they cannot give that info out. I emphasized (again) that I was still interested in the role without that information. I never heard from them again.
So they make you give a salary range but won't offer that information in return and instead blow you off if your guesstimate doesn't match theirs.
Good luck to them finding talented candidates.
