Entrevista
Day 1
There was a VERY breif 1 on 1 with someone who tells you you're a great fit for the job and asks a couple easy Q's then after about 3 minutes says, "you know what, we have a second round of interviews scheduled to take place in the next 15mins if you have time to hang out". So now, feeling great about myselfbut also rightfully skeptical I say sure and am lead to a larger room where in the end, about 7 people gathered who were ALL also fed the same BS about being a great fit.
This part 2 of day 1 becomes a slide show presentation attempting to convince you to believe in the company, and how successful you can be along with the "easy money" you can make so quickly. This becomes a 2nd red flag for me because why do they feel the need to convince ME to work for them. I thought I was supposed to be comvincing THEM that I'm a good candidate for the job. Anyway, at the end of all of that they give you another questionaire and say they'll be doing call-backs later that day.
I got the call to come in again the next day.
Day 2 :
Another 1 on 1 with the main lady at the office. She started with asking what questions I had vaguely answered them. Once that's done, she goes into these 3 handouts about getting paid and a timeline for how things should go and along the way I continue to ask questions and calrify things. Eventually she literally says to me, word for word,
"You ask too many questions and that is concerning for me" WHAT? Here's a pro tip: most employers (reputable ones at least) encourage you to ask questions and want you to be very sure about understanding expectations so when she said the fact that I was doing that "concerned" her, in my gut I knew right then I didnt want this job.
To finish the encounter I noticed that on the day ths is being conducted is written $59 class fee. I question that and she's immediately defensive telling me, "well if we moved forward I assumed you would get going right away" That's fine in a way; I love the enthusiam but this felt more like pushing me into a life decision rather than looking out for my best interest. I explained that I'd like to have a couple days to discuss the new information I had gotten with family and friends and that made her even more impatient with me. (Most places will write up a job offer and literally tell you to look it over and take a week or so to decide) I eventually said look, I am not prepared to accept anything today on a wim like this and if that's an issue then you are more than welcome to move on to the next person in line.
All in all maybe you could say my experience was due more because of a bad office rather than the company itself being shady but I would advise anyone to just be aware that this kind of stuff is potentially going on.

Bait and switch job. I was asked to interview for a manager position, got there and was told nobody starts as a manager. Instead they tried convincing me to take the "agent" position they said was open.

I was emailed an invitation to a webinar where the presenter talked in circles about absolutely nothing. Upon further investigation during the zoom call, I learned that the 'management' position was actually a commission based life insurance sales job.

Entrevista
the interviewer did not ask any questions on why I wanted to work at their company, they just did a company slide on how their business model works and the amount of money I could make.
