I interviewed for a position that has been later put "on hold"(aka cancelled) after 3 days. I redirected on another similar position. During the first interview (pretty easy and informal) I asked about the salary band of the position but weirdly the recruiter was not aware of it. They told me I would receive an email within 24 hours to follow up about it and salary expectations. However, never heard from them again. I found it kinda unprofessional and I think the classical impersonal no-reply email "sorry but..." to forward to the list of rejected candidates could be part of the selection process of the company that sell itself as a "people first" enterprise.
