a recruiter by the name of Austin King sent me an inmail. I was happy where I was and was not really interested at first. Austin did a really good job and convinced me to take a quick call so I did. I am glad I did.  The interview process has been great and Austin has been there throughout the process. He is actually looking out for me and making sure it is the right fit and asking questions about what I am looking for and what I want to do to ensure that it aligns with what Gong is looking for.. and it does.  I  declined many offers to chat before him. This is one time I am glad I took it. The people and process have been great so far. I look forward to continuing on. Win or lose thanks to Austin he has given me hope again when it comes to recruiters. He actually cares and that really made a difference for me. The overall interview process was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end, and Austin King was the best recruiter I've ever worked with in my entire career. I don't typically bother to respond to recruiting inmails, but I'm glad I did. A large part of why I accepted this offer (and walked away from a sizeable raise and promotion at my current company, where I honestly wasn't even looking to move on from for a few more years) was because of how proactive and transparent Austin was throughout the entire interview process. At no point did I feel like just a number, and was never left guessing as to what was going to happen next. Honestly excited to be contributing to Gong because everyone I've met throughout the interview process has been fantastic, hardworking, and down to earth. The only thing I would recommend for future hiring cycles is to diversify the interview panel as everyone I spoke with presented as male, which did not inspire particular confidence around diversity and inclusion.
