My first meeting was with Austin King, an executive recruiter who specializes in leadership roles. From beginning to end, Austin did an outstanding job for me. In his introduction to Gong, he took the time to explain the company's mission, philosophy, short-term and long-term plans, as well as their market landscape. I was really impressed with the way that he got me excited about the opportunity and made me feel a part of the process. As we moved through the remaining steps of the hiring process, Austin continued to be a trustworthy partner to work with. This included providing timely updates and being transparent about what was happening at all times. Despite the fact that I did not end up landing the job that I was hoping for, which is unfortunate, the overall experience left me with a very positive impression of the company and the people working in it.

As part of the hiring process, there was an in-depth discussion about my background, my experience, how I might be able to bring my whole self to this role, as well as what other skills and capabilities I could gain from the role, company, and people.
Austin King was AWESOME at 1) being transparent and not leading someone on, 2) being charismatic about the company, really made me feel like I wanted to work there, 3) caring, he cares that you find the right role in the right company.

It was much more of a "get to know each other", which felt comfortable. It shouldn't be so difficult.
The interview process has been amazing. Austin King is easily the best recruiter I've ever worked with. He's been extremely attentive, keeping me up to date with feedback and next steps. He's reached out proactively multiple times throughout the process to ensure I have everything I need. He's truly been exceptional.
Each interview I've had with different leaders at Gong has also been wonderful. I know how time consuming these interviews can be, but I never felt rushed or that the team was too busy. They each provided what I felt like was honest and transparent feedback about the role and the challenges the team is currently facing.
It's obvious that Gong has an incredible leadership team and no matter how this process turns out, it has been great experience so far and I've enjoyed every interaction.
