The interview process was quite straightforward and overall wasn’t stressful as I thought it would be. Overall I would say it was a positive experience compared to other interviews I have had at the Big 4 consultancy firms.

Had an initial screening call with recruiter. Discussed standard questions on experience and expectations. All seemed fine to me and recruiter said they would get back to me with interview dates but I never heard back even after follow up email.

I have never written a review like this before but thought it important to post so here it goes....I applied for the role directly with the company. Within about 2 hours I received a call back from GT recruitment. They were very interested in my skillset and experience. Although my salary expectations were much higher than they were paying, one of the Directors had already agreed to offer me what I was asking for. I got the call on a Thursday and they couldn't wait to get me in (according to GT recruitment) for an interview the following Tuesday. I interviewed with a Manager and Director within my field. I remember them picking me up from reception and the look on both of their faces when I clearly was not what they were expecting. I am a black person with a very English first and last name and I could immediately tell they were shocked. I had the Interview and it was probably one of the worst Interviews I've had. The 2 men interviewing me were very polite but there was no structure to the interview and when I was answering a question, that would prompt them of another question they wanted to ask me and they would ask it before I had even finished answering the original question. One of the men interviewing me also seemed really bored, he kept looking at the time and his posture was slumped which I thought was unprofessional. Suffice to say I didnt get thr job (shock horror) But their feedback of why was utter nonsense. They had not 1 positive thing to say about me. They said my CV was riddled with spelling errors which 1. Is a lie, 2. It was the same CV they were raving about before meeting me and they also said I didnt answer the questions properly when again they were throwing questions at me without me having answered them. Probably one of my worst interview experiences.

They tested my market awareness and a lot of competency questions around my CV.
