I applied online via Glassdoor and was contacted within a few days to organise a telephone interview with a member of their talent acquisition team. This was just a screening call really to give some information about the company (which was rattled through at what felt like 200mph and all available on their website I believe), with some basic questions about my CV to confirm I had the experience they were looking for, for this role. The call lasted about 20 minutes. This went well and I was informed that they would be keen to get things moving quickly and I would have another interview arranged for the following week. By the beginning of the next week I had heard nothing more, so sent an email back asking if there was any update on this. No response. Three weeks later I received an email to organise the phone interview with the hiring manager for the role, which I was able to organise for early the following week.This call started with some more general questions about why I wanted to work for Graphcore, moving onto discussing some of my experiences before going onto a quiz about my technical knowledge of various aspects of embedded C programming. The call lasted 40 minutes, and I don't feel like I performed exceptionally in this interview, but was keen to hear some feedback and get a response on whether they would be interested in taking the process further. I was told this could should take up to a week, maybe a little longer given the current circumstances (Covid-19). Four weeks after the interview I still hadn't heard anything and sent a follow up email. No response. It is now six weeks later and I assume that I haven't got the role, but it is disappointing to have heard nothing back at all. In summary, the actual interviews were fine and they were happy to be flexible to arrange them at times that would work best for me around my current job, but otherwise the communication has been poor, and it is very disappointing to hear nothing back at all. This is the reason for the negative experience.
