I am writing this feedback to share my genuinely disappointing experience with Great Learning’s hiring process and to highlight serious concerns about their candidate handling and communication.
I interviewed with Great Learning for three different positions, and in total, I went through 11 rounds of interviews. After every round, I was given a specific deadline by HR, Ms. Maitri Baruah, and was told that I would receive feedback by that date. Naturally, after investing so much time, effort, and preparation, I waited with hope and professionalism for their response every single time.
Unfortunately, despite clearing multiple rounds and waiting patiently after each promised deadline, I was ultimately ghosted. My calls were not answered, and my messages were not responded to. There was no closure, no feedback, and no professional courtesy, even after such an extensive and time-consuming process.
It is completely understandable if a candidate is not selected. However, what is unacceptable is putting a candidate through 11 rounds of interviews, repeatedly setting expectations, and then completely disappearing without any communication.
This reflects very poorly on the organization’s hiring ethics and respect for candidates’ time and effort. Candidates prepare seriously, invest their energy, and plan their careers based on the timelines shared. Being ghosted after so many rounds is not just unprofessional, it is extremely discouraging and disrespectful.
My sincere feedback to Great Learning is: If you do not intend to move forward with a candidate, please communicate it honestly and on time. Do not keep candidates in false hope and do not put them through excessive rounds without proper closure.
I hope the company and the HR team improve their hiring process and treat candidates with the professionalism and respect they deserve.
