I applied to Grover for the business development internship. After submitting my CV online, I was promptly invited to a telephone interview with the one of the managers.
The interview was canceled 2 minutes before the scheduled time (which was a huge inconvenience and very unprofessional), and rescheduled.
After successfully completing the first interview, a few days later I was invited to a phone interview with another manager. That interview lasted for about 25 minutes and allowed good insight into the company and was probably the best interview in the selection process.
After successful completion of that interview, I was invited to an interview with one further manager. That interview was rather basic and quick, asking the same questions as the previous two interviews did.
After successful completion of that interview, I was invited to a Skype interview with the a very high ranking manager. This interview was the worst of my life. Firstly, the manager was 20 minutes late to the scheduled interview, not giving prior notice whatsoever. During the interview, the manager was barely even listening to what I had to say and knew little about me despite me having been through 3 previous interviews. The interview was scheduled to last for 30 minutes but lasted for 5 minutes. The manager was clearly bothered and not motivated to interview an intern so he was answering emails the entire time I was talking. The most unprofessional and rude interview I have ever been to.
After having completed 4 interviews for Grover and spending several hours in the recruitment process, I received no update on my application whatsoever after the 5 minute interview with the last manager. Despite several emails asking for an update, Grover failed to respond.
I do not recommend applying to this company as the recruitment process is redundant (same questions asked during every interview stage) and the interviewers clearly don't care. The high ranking manager seems to have to approve of every intern but does not care at all about getting to know the prospective candidates but seems to consider it as a chore.
Unprofessional and outdated recruitment process that definitely wastes the time of prospective candidates.
