HR Screen then was told i'd be meeting with the hiring manager, but oops first you have to do this assessment that I should spend "no more than 4 hours on" that included the following: analyzing data, write a 1 page email with what your program strategy would be and next steps, answer the questions asked in the data analysis portion, share any additional information which you think would be important context, Include any questions which would help you better develop your next steps, Summarize your findings and recommendations in a 5 slide PPT.
After you do the above and submit, you'll be notified if the hiring manager wants to meet. After meeting with the hiring manager, you'll be put on ice for 3 weeks with little messages from the recruiter telling you just wait you'll know soon, THEN you'll get rejected.
It's one thing to get rejected, but in combo with the messaging from the recruiter and absurd assessment-i'm pretty appalled. Maybe wait to do the assessment after the hiring manager meets with the applicant to avoid wasting the applicants time? The interview wasn't difficult, just read off questions from a list.

I was verbally told a pay range for the role which also was posted online in the job description. After the interview I received a follow-up email that the comp was 30k lower than stated online. Poor candidate experience.
