Took 1 day. I applied online and followed up in store. I was interviewed and hired on the spot. The store manager was appreciative that I followed up with him in person. It is a very laid back environment and we were able to take a little time to talk about music and our musical backgrounds as well as what my sales experience was and what my expectations of the job were.

Well thought out interview pretty easy, I thought it went well but didn't get offered a position. I still feel like they are a good company although I heard they changed there commission structure in the past few years.

Simple and to the point. They want to know if you fit into the company culture. They also want to know what your skill set is as far as musical ability. It is very easygoing and relaxed

Felt like I was being interrogated or discriminated against, as if this were an important career. Dude, you hire high school students. Give me a break. Avoid applying to guitar center.
