I really hate writing these but I believe I might save somebody out there some headache. I had a phone interview with the owner, which was interesting in and of itself, he stated he needed “a miracle”. We agreed that I needed to fly down and meet in person and he would reimburse me for my flight. I was out of state. His words were he would at least make that investment. Upon arrival I emailed his production manager my receipt and he cut me a check for my flight. The only problem was is he made it out to another candidate and I did not check the name on the check. After my bank rejected it, I called and was instructed to mail. the check back to them, wait four days and they would send a new one. I heard inside nothing for weeks after I mailed it back. I finally got a hold of the office manager who went and spoke with the owner and came back on the line and relayed the message to me that the agreement was that I worked for him for 90 days and he would reimburse me. So think about this why did he cut me a check the day of the interview just for the wrong person if that was the agreement. And who on earth would agree to 90 days when they haven’t even accepted the job yet. I was told the ball was in my court If I wanted to job. I obviously did not take the job but had the owner done what he agreed to, He might have gotten a couple of sales reps that live in Houston, who worked for me previously, who are looking for a new place. I would gladly take them if they would move to the Carolinas where I accepted an offer. This whole process should serve as a warning sign for this company.

Nothing really. Just kept being told how his business was struggling and he needed a miracle.

Kind of a creepy, off subject interview.
Owner talks down to everyone and it kind of felt like a ghost town inside there. I didn't feel like it was a team company at all.

I was contacted by an Admin person for the on-site 1:1 interview. I was not phone-screened at all, just a date/time provided for the interview. I arrived to the interview as scheduled, however, five minutes into the interview the Manager stated he had made a mistake and I should have been phone-screened prior. He also admitted to not reading my resume. It would seem I was over-qualified for the job and did not have (according to the interviewer) a native knowledge of the product. The interviewer did apologize and seemed gracious. The job was portrayed as a very intricate and complicated Call Center environment, when in-fact it seemed to be your basic Call Center job with VOC focus.

The most difficult and most unexpected question was, "Can't you go back to your prior employer?"
