They took over 4 weeks to interview to start. They had you meet with the CEO and the CFO asking pretty standard questions. Once offered the position, I asked one question about expectations when working and traveling with tremendous amounts of overtime, essentially if the expectation would be to be in office “butt In seat” on Monday or if they value their employees time and allow for some days off to accommodate for missed weekends, and apparently that blew up the entire foundation of time, interviews, and ultimately the offer I received. They claim to be “transparent” but a robotic rejection email, to a negation of a written offer was what I received which was wild, I tried reaching out to the HR manager with no response. Essentially this is a start up that wants you to bleed for them and sacrifice everything in the process. 60 hour weeks with no breaks sounds like their idea of a “good employee” happy to have dodged this bullet.

I applied over the weekend and was contacted that following Monday. I first met with the CFO over the phone for a screening interview, and a few days later I had a second interview over Zoom with the only other accounting department employee. Both conversations went well, and I didn’t receive any indication that things hadn’t gone smoothly — we even discussed next steps and what to expect. I followed up consistently, probably a bit too often in hindsight, because I was genuinely excited about the opportunity. After about three weeks of weekly follow-ups, I received an automated rejection email with no prior communication. I reached out to both interviewers asking for feedback but never received a response. As far as I can tell from LinkedIn, the position still hasn’t been filled and was actually reposted, so it seems they’re in no rush to bring someone new on. Overall, the interview process started out strong but ended with poor communication and no closure, which was disappointing.

I applied, was contacted the same day. Phone interviewed with Director next day and Controller end of the same week. Scheduled me to come in following Monday, interviewed in person with Director, Controller and CEO. CEO was late and seemed uninterested in being there, did not have any relevant questions. I waited longer than I interviewed. They have no HR, it shows. For how quickly the process went, and a follow up email I sent to Controller (who was in charge of process), all I got back was an auto-generated rejection email about a week later. For how quickly I moved things around to accommodate the multiple interviews (as I am still working FT, about 20 minutes from their facility) so quickly, a more personal email from the controller with some feedback would have been more professional. They desperately need an HR/ Recruiter to handle their hiring processes, not somewhere I will ever recommend for employment.
