I applied for a supply chain position in the Amsterdam office. The process began with a short phone interview, after that I was invited for a second interview in-person, because the hiring manager wanted to meet candidates face to face. So I made arrangements to attend in person, taking time off from work and traveling specifically for the meeting.
On the day of the interview, however, the hiring manager joined remotely, and the recruiter didn’t attend at all. I was only informed the day before that she would be out of office, with an email where she stated she would call me for a follow-up the following day but the call never happened
The interview itself went well, conversation was positive and I appreciated the opportunity to speak with the manager and team member present.
After the meeting, I received only an automated rejection email. I send an email asking for a more detailed feedback, but I was never answered.
The overall experience was undermined by poor communication, lack of organization, and a general disregard for the candidate’s time and effort throughout the hiring process.
This left a very disappointing impression of how recruitment is handled at this company.
