I was contacted over the phone and then invited in to interview in person. Everyone was incredibly nice and kind, over the phone and in person. I brought writing samples, articles that were published nationally and internationally, as well as a publication I was founder/editor of that I created from scratch. I invested a significant amount of time, from applying, driving, and taking a full day to come to Philadelphia for the interview, which I thought, had went extremely well.
Afterward, I sent a thank-you follow-up email and never received a word back. It was disappointing because I believe if someone was brought in to be interviewed, the least a company or organization could do is get back to them, especially after an extremely kind thank you note. I would have expected that from Habitat for Humanity, but I received nothing.
