I was invited to a 30-minute phone screen with an HR recruiter. Unfortunately, my overall experience was quite negative. The recruiter was late for our call, and sounded disinterested and disengaged from the outset. Although she confirmed that I would receive follow-up communication within 24-72 hours of our initial conversation, I did not hear from her again for over a month, and only then, to let me know that I was not a fit for any of their open roles so they would not be advancing my application. I appreciated her closing the loop, but found the inconsistency between what she said the process would be, and the actual process, to be both unprofessional and disrespectful of my time/efforts. I would be unlikely to apply for further opportunities with Hagerty based on this experience.
