There was maybe one question asking about my experience for the position, which I was over qualified for. There were questions asking about my availability and hours. There was some explaining about the position and what I would be doing there. They ask me how I deal with diversity. No problems there. But then they ask me what I have done to support the LGBT community. I’m fine working with and serving all kinds of people, but to expect me on my free time to have been out there doing some sort of volunteer work is a bit outrageous! People have their own lives to live and it should be enough just to show some common respect to others no matter their walk of life. I answered the best I could but I simply will not outright lie about job or volunteer experience.
